Financial Aid and Scholarships
The SJSU School of Information offers generous scholarships to both new students and continuing students enrolled in its Master of Library and Information Science or Master of Archives and Records Administration program. Eligible students may apply for 40 different scholarships with funds totaling more than $60,000. Additional scholarships are also available from San José State University and other agencies.

When to Apply for Financial Aid
iSchool applicants who would like to apply for financial aid should file their FAFSA (federal financial aid application) once they have submitted their application for admission to the SJSU iSchool. The Financial Aid Office will not make any financial awards or disbursements until an applicant has:
The SJSU School of Information is pleased to offer scholarships for new students during the first semester they are enrolled in the Master of Library and Information Science, Master of Archives and Records Administration program, or MS in Informatics program.
Numerous scholarships are available to current students enrolled in the master’s degree programs at the SJSU School of Information. From $500 to $1,422, scholarships funds can help offset course fees. Please review the scholarship opportunities, including the Special Session Scholarships.

Diversity is a core value of the American Library Association (ALA), with a whole department working towards recruiting a LIS workforce that is richly diverse in order to provide the highest quality of information services to all people.
