iSchool’s New Informatics Program Awarded $50,000 California State University Innovation Grant

The San José State University College of Professional and Global Education has awarded the School of Information a two-year California State University Innovation Grant in the amount of $50,000 for its Master of Science in Informatics program, launching this fall.

A dynamic interdisciplinary field, informatics emphasizes analyzing and managing data while making that data secure and actionable for users within the specific domains of health, cybersecurity and privacy, and sports.

iSchool and LYRASIS Partner to Expand Continuing Education Courses

The San José State University School of Information and LYRASIS Learning are now offering professional development and training courses to meet the needs of information professionals.

LYRASIS Learning is an education platform for webinars on subjects, such as content solutions, leadership and emerging trends, preservation solutions and technology. iSchool instructors will be teaching courses through the partnership.
